| LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal is a safe, effective and in many cases, provides a permanent
reduction in removing unwanted body hair. Approved by the FDA, laser hair removal
treatment can be used in all skin types including African American, Asian, and those with
tanned skin. Usually takes 3-5 treatments at 4-8 week intervals.
Lasers work is by using thermal energy to heat the area that causes hair growth. This
damages the hair follicles and alters it’s ability to re-grow new ones. Some people
may describe the experience as a stinging sensation or a rubber band snap. The laser’s
cooling tip helps provide anesthetic relief to contacted area, but most tolerate the procedure
well.
Possible side effects include some inflammatory redness and swelling immediately after
the treatment, but will usually resolve in 1-2 days. After several days, you may notice
some hair re-growth. These are hairs being shed after being stimulated by the laser
treatment and will disappear within a few days. |
